Climate Resilience Working Group

Recognizing the climate emergency and the existing research gap on climate resilience and adaptation, the University of California Alianza MX and UNAM’s Climate Change Research Program (PINCC) created a UC-UNAM transdisciplinary working group that will identify critical knowledge gaps and co-create science-based solutions.

Migration & Inequality

The relationship between migration and inequality is a critical area for research collaboration that demands a binational approach to offer solutions for communities, decision-makers, and society. UNAM’s Coordinación de Humanidades and Alianza MX have organized a transdisciplinary research group to explore different aspects of this complex issue in California and Mexico and aim at building robust theoretical frameworks while maintaining a policy focus and ensuring community-based research collaboration.

Alianza MX is currently working with the University of California and partner institutions in Mexico to organize additional working groups in the areas such as Climate & Health, Plant Genomics, Soil Sciences, and Sustainable Agriculture.
