Rafael Rivera is a research scientist with experience in the Biotech industry. His work has focused on topics such as plant pathology, genetics, molecular virology, and molecular biology, as well as innovation and entrepreneurship. He is currently Director of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) in Mérida, Yucatán. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from UC Riverside.
