Julio is a Doctor in Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology from UC Santa Barbara. He is currently a professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the Autonomous University of Baja California in Ensenada, Mexico. He is part of a diverse group of students and researchers conducting Coastal Science Monitoring called MexCal. He also works as an adjunct scientist at the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve.
Climate Ambassadors is a UC Alianza MX initiative to build a network of students of the University of California and Mexican institutions and connect them with career opportunities within the new climate economy and society.
Climate Ambassadors work together on crossborder climate, sustainability and social justice challenges, building a network for impact.
