UC-IPN Call for Proposals 2023

Applied Research in Environment and Health

The Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) and the University of California Alianza MX (UC Alianza MX) are pleased to announce this Call for Collaborative Research Proposals in Applied Sciences, with a focus on the following topics:

•Environmental remediation or sanitation, including reduction of CO2 emissions, sanitation of bodies of water, sustainability of soils, and other relevant topics.
•Prevention or treatment of metabolic diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and others.

Calls for Research Proposals

Eligibility

Proposals must be connected to one of the strategic issues listed above. All projects must include two principal investigators (PIs) from the UC system and one PI from IPN. Please contact Alianza MX for assistance identifying potential collaborators.

Funding

UC researchers can request up to $37,500 USD in total funding for research activities per year over two years. Additional funding support is available for travel to binational workshops. Funds may not be used to cover overhead or indirect costs.

Application

Proposal submissions must be saved as a single .pdf file that includes the required
components outlined in the call and must be submitted via Google Form before the
application deadline (January 12, 2024) to be considered for funding awards.
